A customer from the offshore sector was looking for a rubber cap for a special deep-sea application in which a seismograph on the seabed collects measurement data for marine research at depths of up to 6000m. The extremely harsh demands placed on the component in terms of pressure, temperature and resistance to seawater place great demands on all components. Whether the threaded insert made of titanium steel or the chloroprene rubber compound (CR for short) optimized by us, they are perfectly suited to this unusual application.
At the customer’s request and for the purpose of recognition, we have provided the component with its own individual marking in the form of a company logo. These and other elements, such as the application of the date of manufacture by means of a consecutive month/year clock, are a further option in the manufacture of molded rubber parts to make your product unmistakable.
