The Thenhausen Group includes the two independent companies Möllering Gummi- und Kunststofftechnik and Thenhausen Spritzgusstechnik und Werkzeugbau (TSW).
Möllering is a medium-sized family business that has focused on the manufacture and sale of rubber and plastic items since 1932. While the plastic items are manufactured at our sister company TSW in Bielefeld using the injection molding process, Möllering in Norderstedt focuses on the treatment and processing of elastomers and the vulcanization of molded rubber parts. Your advantage: Due to the close cooperation between Möllering and TSW, you automatically have access to the diverse know-how and potential of both companies!

Möllering celebrates its 90th company anniversary.
2020
After completing his master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich and the ETH Zurich, industrial engineer Clemens Thenhausen joined the company on January 1 as an assistant to the management.

Möllering moves into the new building in Nordersted
2015
After she finished her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Engineering Amelie Thenhausen joins the company on Oktober 1st and starts her extra-occupational master program.

Möllering receives the supplier award for overall quality from the world market leader for flexographic printing systems.

Möllering moves to the Hans-Böckler-Ring in Norderstedt near Hamburg.
1986
From June 1, 1986, the company’s headquarters were temporarily relocated to Hamburg-Sasel.

Möllering celebrates its 50th company anniversary.
1980
On January 1, 1980, Alfred Thenhausen took over the traditional company Hiri, Hildebrand, Richter & Co. in Kirchgellersen near Lüneburg, where production began after a complete renovation.
1979
Alfred Thenhausen has been the sole owner of Möllering GmbH since January 1st.
1960
Alfred Thenhausen joins the company as a partner on January 2nd. Gustav Möllering withdraws from day-to-day business.
1957
Möllering celebrates its 25th company anniversary.
1949
On June 1st, the official new beginning takes place at Hofweg 60 in Hamburg.
1943
In July, the business premises are destroyed by bomb attacks.
1932
On July 4, 1932, the businessman Gustav Möllering founded a special shop for technical rubber goods on Rumpfsweg in Hamburg.
