extrusion
Extrusion is a process that has a very wide range of applications.
Extrusion is one of the most widespread processes in the plastics processing industry and, thanks to its far-reaching advantages in terms of efficiency, has gained great importance, especially in the series production of plastic parts.
Whether profile or round cord, whether machine hose or hollow chamber profile: Our wide range of mixtures guarantees you the right solution for your requirements and for all geometries. Elastomers and plastics are used, both in solid and cellular designs made of all common plastics, elastomers and TPEs.
Production in mono-extrusion process
Extrusion is a shaping process that is mainly used for thermoplastics. The plastic is pressed as a viscous mass under high pressure and high temperature through a shaping opening. This creates a body of almost any length that can then be further processed into a finished end product.
After the actual extrusion, there is often a water-cooled calibration, which completes the shaping by pressing against the calibration wall. Calibration is usually followed by a water bath to cool the product.
Production in the co-extrusion process
In the co-extrusion process, a layer structure with different material properties is made possible using different plastic melts. This process is used to produce special mechanical, optical or barrier properties. This allows us to create products with different materials or hardnesses.
We would be happy to give you even more reasons why we are your specialist for extrusion.
