molded plastic parts

Plastic molded parts have become indispensable in daily use because of their malleability, low weight and recyclability.

Plastics have long found their way into our daily use, not only as a cost-effective replacement for metal parts, but also because of their excellent formability, weight savings, recyclability and various technical properties such as elasticity, E-modulus and the electrical behavior. Our plastic injection molded parts are used in a wide variety of industries, such as mechanical and plant engineering, electrical and household appliance industries, aviation, medical technology or logistics.

The injection molding process of plastic molded parts

For the production of plastic molded parts we use the injection molding process. The plastics are thermoplastics. Unlike molded rubber parts, thermoplastic materials such as PA, TPE, TPU, PVC, ABS, PP, PC, PS, PEEK or PET are melted and injected into a tempered, mostly cold mold. There the injection molded parts cool down for a short time and harden before they are removed. The removal process from the machine is fully or semi-automatic. Our machines are equipped with automated handling systems for this purpose. In our assembly department, which was created in the course of the new building, we can also supply fully assembled assemblies that are ready for immediate use.

The 2-component injection molding process for plastic molded parts

In addition, 2-component injection molding is the ideal technology for realizing possible combinations of the individual materials. Two different plastics, e.g. hard-soft components, can be processed in one operation to ensure a secure, non-positive connection.

Mechanical post-processing and finishing of plastic molded parts

And if items are required that require minimal tolerances, which cannot be achieved in the injection molding process alone, we carry out the mechanical post-processing using our CNC-controlled lathes and milling machines. For refinement, we offer the possibility of printing, painting, chrome-plating or electroplating the surfaces of the manufactured products. With great care and know-how, we meet even the highest requirements.

own internal tool construction for plastic molded parts

Due to the plastic-friendly design, there are almost no limits to the plastic molded parts in terms of geometry, weight, size, shape, color or surface structure. Here we support you right from the start and see ourselves as a development partner who is at your side with advice and know-how throughout the entire process. Thanks to our own internal tool shop, we can develop optimization suggestions for new projects and implement them quickly in order to ensure process reliability and part quality. In addition to the “short distances” to process acceleration, the internal tool shop offers our customers the security of know-how storage of new developments throughout the process chain – from the prototype produced in the rapid prototyping process, through tool construction, to the finished series part.

Well-known thermoplastic materials that we process include:
  • PA (polyamide)
  • TPE (thermoplastic elastomers)
  • TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
  • PVC (polyvinyl chloride)
  • ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer)
  • PP (polypropylene)
  • PC (polycarbonate)
  • PS (polystyrene)
  • PEEK (polyaryletherketone)
  • PET (polyethylene terephthalate)
  • PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate)
  • POM (polyoxymethylene)
  • PPE (polyphenylene ether)
  • PPS (polyphenylene sulfide)

These can be used in their pure form or in a modified version, e.g. B. reinforced with glass fiber, carbon fiber or glass beads. We design the mixture according to your requirements!

The manufacture of special items

We process a large number of special items that require the use of inserts. In this case, insert parts made of plastic, metal or other materials are positioned in the mold before the injection molding process so that they are permanently connected to the injection material. Depending on the part and quantity, we work with individually programmed automatic placement machines to automate the insertion of inserts.
