Rubber molding production is the ideal support when it comes to sealing, damping, isolating and storing.

Molded rubber parts are made using the common manufacturing processes of compression molding, transfer molding and injection molding; manufactured on tools provided for this purpose.

The selected rubber mixtures are introduced into tools designed for molded rubber parts. Most molded rubber parts are not standard or norm parts. Instead, they are developed and manufactured for specific areas of application and requirements. The development process of the rubber parts takes place in close cooperation with our customers.

Here you can see our rubber molding production video:

The pressing of rubber moldings

During pressing, the mixture is placed directly in the heated tool and then distributed in the mold by the high pressure. The heat causes the macromolecules in the mixture to bond together. This process is called vulcanization.

Injection molding of rubber moldings

In transfer molding, the tool consists of three parts. The mixture is not placed directly in the tool. Instead, the mixture is injected through channels into the actual mold and vulcanized. The heating time in the mold depends on the mix, shape and weight of the part. Our special presses have a particularly large opening path in order to produce items seamlessly and in a high-quality manner.

Rubber molding production with injection moulding

In injection molding, the mixture is plasticized by a screw and then injected into the mold, also under high pressure, and then vulcanized. Our experts select the right process for your molded rubber part in order to achieve the best possible economic outcome for you.

Mixtures in the manufacturing process

These manufacturing processes use, among other things, standard mixes like:

  • EPDM
  • NBR
  • NR

  • BR
  • silicone

But we also produce and use special mixtures such as:

  • Viton® (FKM) / Viton® is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers, USA
  • Urethane (AU/EU)
  • hydrogenated NBR (HNBR)

In addition, we enable the production of special hardnesses according to customer requirements. We also support you in selecting the right material. We take into account the conditions such as temperatures, media, environmental influences, mechanical wear, etc. the finished article will be exposed to. We also use composite materials, so-called 2-component materials. For example, rubber materials are reinforced with metals or filled with Teflon or graphite to improve sliding properties. We also use plasticizer-free elastomers.
