What materials and mixtures are rubber profiles made of?

We produce rubber profiles from elastomers, all common plastics and TPUs, both solid and cellular. Our wide range of mixtures guarantees you the right solution for your problem and all geometries. In addition, we have the 2-component technology at our disposal, which allows the combination of different materials. This enables us to produce so-called duplex profiles made of different materials or in different hardnesses, such as a combination of solid rubber and foam rubber.

Our profiles are made from the following materials in particular:

  • SILICONE PROFILES
    Our silicone profiles are particularly suitable for permanent use in demanding environments. The profiles are suitable for use from -40°C to +200°C. By adding special additives, the heat resistance can even be increased to 300°C. By complying with FDA and BfR standards, our silicone profiles are used in particular in the food and packaging industry, as well as in medical technology.
  • SILICONE FOAM PROFILES
    Our silicone foam profiles are widely used for sealing applications, especially in the food industry as it conforms to US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) regulations. Furthermore, our silicone foam profiles are also used, for example, in medical technology, the electronics and packaging industries. The silicone foam is mostly closed cell with low water absorption and anti-dust properties.
  • EPDM PROFILES
    Our EPDM profiles are particularly characterized by high resistance to heat, ozone and UV radiation. Due to their high elasticity and good electrical insulating properties, EPDM profiles are particularly versatile. We offer you, among other things, individually manufactured solid profiles, hollow chamber profiles, or U-profiles. We realize a wide variety of delivery forms, according to your needs: e.g. as endless meter goods, sections, rings or as frame seals, which can be produced using a corner vulcanizing tool.
  • NBR PROFILE
    Together with you we develop your individual NBR profile according to your requirements and specifications. NBR profiles are particularly characterized by exceptional resistance to mineral oil, grease and fuel, as well as a low compression set. Therefore, the profiles serve as optimal seals against these substances and are used in particular in general mechanical and plant engineering.
  • FOOD RUBBER PROFILES
    Sponge rubber profiles are used in many areas of mechanical and plant engineering. These are characterized by excellent sealing properties (with a closed outer skin), high compressibility and damping properties. We advise you and work with you to develop profiles according to your specifications and requirements, precisely tailored to your application.

Self-adhesive rubber profiles for easy assembly

On request, we can also make our rubber profiles self-adhesive. Self-adhesive rubber profiles are particularly suitable for facilitating product handling and reducing assembly work. The desired adhesive strength can be defined by carefully selecting the self-adhesive tape.

The extrusion process for the production of rubber profiles

The rubber profiles are produced endlessly in the extrusion process. First, the rubber mixture is plasticized in the extruders and then injected into the desired shape through attached extrusion tools, so-called dies. The adjustable mouthpieces make it possible to produce different profile cross-sections and the desired geometries. The shape of the profile is then stabilized by vulcanization. After production, the profile can be wound into the desired lengths or cut to your desired length with our highly efficient automatic cutting machines.

Vulcanize rubber profiles together to form a frame

Profiles can also be vulcanized together to form frames by film vulcanization. For this purpose, the profile is picked up in a tool adapted to the profile geometry and then permanently vulcanized together at the connection point using heat and pressure. This results in very clean connections with few dead spaces. We can manufacture all profiles individually and customer-specifically. We would be happy to advise you and make you an individual offer.
